About Me

I’m 30 years old and live in DC, by way of NYC, by way of Tel Aviv, Israel. Scorpio. Jewish. Atheist. Liberal.
I am the Founder of Social Tables, web-based seating plan software. Our goal is to make event planning less stressful and attending events more fun. I’ve organized many events and I’m psyched to make an impact in an industry that desperately needs disruptive ideas.
I started building web sites in the late 90s. First in markup and then in PHP. After I worked as a developer at a couple of startups, I ran my own web design firm during in college. After a few years, I got burnt out from client work.
After graduating from Hunter College in 2004, I went to work for a senior Member of Congress. Four years later, I decided to go to Georgetown for my MBA. I staffed and produced dozens of events in that position and as the co-chair of DL21C.
After business school I worked for a large management consulting firm. I quickly realized it wasn’t for me and quit 6 months later to start building Social Tables. Since it’s in the event planning space and it involves technology, it merges two things I love.
Everything I’ve done in life has led me toward entrepreneurship and I can’t see myself doing anything else. I love it because I learn more in one day than I did for weeks at a time.
I love languages (I speak four) and adventure travel (check out some of my albums). I also love dance music (please don’t call it techno) and making videos. I am the proud father of Leroy (pictured below) and the boyfriend of this amazing gal.
